What is this separate self that haunts you?

What is this separate self that haunts you, this person that you believe you are? What is this me and you that separates that which is inseparable?
In the absence of the I-thought and the You-thought, in the absence of the old story that divides us, in the absence of images that we identify with, what is separation?
Isn’t our experience intimate wholeness, causeless well being, causeless joy?
Is there really a need to have a story about this or that? Is it not sufficient to recognize the peace that is, the wholeness, the well-being that is and rest as That?
We can let go of holding on to images about ourselves and others.
It is possible.
Everything is possible.
