Once you know the self, you’re no longer going anywhere. You’re always here as presence. There isn’t seeking or avoiding. You are no longer prey to desire. Time collapses into the eternity of aware presence. 
You are no longer an object, a form. You are formless and without borders. 
This requires deep inquiry and maintained contemplation and the application of viveka and vairagya. 
Discrimination and dispassion. 
At some point the fruits of your labor are realized. 
There is no way around this process of awakening.
