In the waking state, you mistake yourself to be the body mind sensations and perceptions.
They arise and dissolve.
Inquire into the screen and not into the images.
Inquire into the reality of consciousness that is undeniable.
Recognize yourself. You are That which is beyond mind images and bodily sensations. Beyond what appears and disappears.

When you rely on images and sensations to define you, you are defining yourself according to what is transient and impermanent. Therefore you experience yourself as an impermanent object. As a result, all sorts of negative emotions such as fear and the sense of lack and mortality haunt you.

Keep returning to the recognition that you are the Formless Aware Presence and not what appears.
Then and only then, change will cease to affect you and you  recognize yourself as the Self eternal and infinite.
