We only experience now. 
Comparison is dream like, illusory. How can we compare anything outside of our current experience?
When we are comparing, we are comparing our current experience with our current experience since we know nothing else but this current experience, as awareness. 
The problem is that we imagine our current experience to be in time and therefore linear. And fact it is not. Time is a thought/mind impression within our current experience which is not in time.
Given our current experience is not in time, there is nothing to compare to anything else. 
All so-called experiences are contained within the eternity of awareness which is infinite and comprises everything as itself.
In fact there is but one experience which is not an experience that is awareness, presence, the peace of being.
