How come I perceive San Francisco and not Paris?

From the perspective that I am Joe/John/Mary, I cannot perceive Paris since I live in San Francisco. From the perspective of consciousness, I perceive Paris, I perceive San Francisco. There is only one perceiver, one reality. the reality of consciousness. When you mix these two perspective, you wonder how come the limited body mind we call Joe/John/Mary does not perceive Paris. Consider the following exercise: the body Joe/John/Mary has two eyes. A left eye and a right eye. If you close the left eye and look through the right eye, you perceive perception A. If you close the right eye and look through the left eye, you perceive perception B. They are not the exact same perceptions. A differs slightly from B. Yet, that which perceives is the same.
